We are thrilled to be one of the facilitating partners behind Techtoberfest 2013 on October 17th and 18th featuring a celebration of startups both from the local Kitchener/Waterloo region and the international scene.
With sessions presented by stellar entrepreneurs such as:
Alexis Ohanian – All around awesome guy who helped found Reddit (yes that Reddit) and now dedicates his time to Breadpig, a socially aware ‘uncorporation’ as well as advising over 60 tech startups. Alexis also has a book coming out so check out WITHOUT THEIR PERMISSION for more details.
Robert Richman – Culture architect and author of the upcoming book, Culture Blueprint, Robert was the key designer and brilliant genius behind Zappos Insights, a training program with a focus on helping businesses discover and cultivate their unique corporate culture. This program has both generated millions of dollars in revenue for Zappos but also has demonstrated their leadership in the realm of corporate culture and employer branding.
Jeff Hoffman – Partner & Co-founder at ColorJar and former founder and CEO of notable companies Priceline.com and uBid.com. Jeff works tirelessly on several boards relating to startups and entrepreneurship and works with the White House, the Executive Office of the President, the US State Department, and the US Department of Commerce to help support projects relating to business and economic growth worldwide. *Sidenote- We were fortunate to see Jeff speak at the 2013 International Startup Festival and he blew the doors off of the room. You can check the video of his presentation here.
Stephen Lake – CEO of local supergenius startup Thalmic Labs , Stephen’s pedigree of being named one of Canada’s Top 20 under 20 in 2007 and one of the Next 36 entrepreneurial leaders of Canada in 2011 demonstrates that he’s been one to watch for some time. With a degree in Mechatronics Engineering from the University of Waterloo and a certificate in Entrepreneurship from the University of Toronto, he is a rare breed and possesses a unique perspective.
Daniel Debow – SVP at Salesforce.com and previous co-founder of Rypple who was also on the founding team of Workbrain. Daniel is now a notable speaker on the topic of how social media is changing how we work and contributes to Fortune and the Huffington Post.
With this line up as well as the chance to schmooze with startups, mentors, investors, ninjas, gurus and sherpas, you can’t afford to not attend Techtoberfest 2013.
